SUMMER SLAM! (Preteen Mission Camp)

June 18-21      Students completed 3rd - 5th grade     Cost $75

SUMMERSLAM! is a chance for preteens to experience an age appropriate youth mission where they can serve Jesus by helping others.  Adult-led, student work teams engage in a variety of community service and light construction projects in Gregg, Upshur, and Harrison County area.  When not at work, students will enjoy free time, recreation, and great worship.  Wednesday, the final day, is a fun day at Splash Kingdom in Canton, TX. First United Methodist Longview is the mission living center where students live during the 3 day, 3 night mission.  Fee includes all meals, snacks, a mission shirt, and admission to water park.  Sorry, Registration Closed.


July 9-14     Students completed 2nd -12th grade     Cost $400

Lakeview Methodist Conference Center is a place where memories are made, friendships are begun, and faith is explored.  Every summer, St. Luke's Youth participate in this life changing camp experience which is full of bible study, worship, and fun.  All counselors must complete a background check, conference safe sanctuary training, and camp counselor training.  When registering, be sure and register for Session 4 with St. Luke's Kilgore.  Scholarships are given on a first come, first serve basis so register ASAP!  For more information and to register online:

BIG HOUSE (Jr High Mission Trip)

July 20-23    Students completed 5th - 8th grade    Cost $125

BIG HOUSE is a mission trip to prepare youth to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, by providing an opportunity to be in mission to churches in need everywhere.  Work projects include painting, landscaping, handrail repair, preparing meals, and stocking food pantries.  The evening are full of fun games and worship.  This year, we will be going to Coldspring, TX.  Pick up registration form in St. Luke's Gym.  For more information:


June 4-10     Students completed 8th - college     Cost $275

Students will be traveling to Atlanta, GA to serve and interact with the homeless and impoverished of the city.  Some of these service projects might include; cooking and serving food, offering prayer to people on the streets, helping out at homeless resource centers, VBS style activities at a community center, running a carnival for the homeless children, playing chess with the homeless at a park, or playing ping pong, dominoes, or cards with the homeless at a shelter.  Students will get the chance to see a different side of life and come into contact with people who aren't much different than them.  Nights will consist of dinner, a worship service, and a speaker.  Friday will be a free day with a fun activity.  Students will need additional money for food while traveling and for activity on Friday.  Go to for more info.
